This is a live Ming Aralia Kokedama - Moss ball (approx 6-8" diameter x 20-22 in) that is potted in a proper mixture of soil and moss to help in growth and plant life.
Ming Aralia are a very elegant looking, low maintenance plant. They will grow pretty much anywhere, as long as you keep them warm. Ming Aralia used to be a widely popular houseplant. It grows feathery fern-like foliage on it's sturdy branches. It's low maintenance, but can be a little finicky. Ming Aralia likes bright indirect lighting, but can handle some shade. It needs high humidity, and prefers if it's soil stays lightly moist (never soggy as it is stump tree) during the growing season. The success of your Ming Aralia really depends on its humidity. If it gets too cold or dry the plant will begin to drop leaves and start to look bare. Keeping it warm and humid will give you the happiest plant.
